Before using
Mentax may interact with other medicines that is why you should inform your doctor about all the drugs that you are taking. Also notify him if you have an allergy to any ingredients of Mentax or if you plan to become pregnant.
Directions
Your doctor should provide you with directions how to use Mentax. Also read the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
Clean and dry the fungal area before applying Mentax on the skin and then wash your hands. Do not cover the affected area with a bandage or clothes without your doctor\'s previous approval. Mentax is usually applied once a day for four weeks. Do not stop using Mentax before the end of the treatment period even if the condition has become much better because this may cause reoccurrence of your infection.
Cautions
Use Mentax for treating fungal infection only and not for any other conditions. Keep it away from eyes, nose and mouth. Mentax should not be used by children younger than 12 years of age.
If you plan to become pregnant, discuss with your doctor all the existing risks to your baby.
Do not share Mentax with other people.
Possible side effects
Very rarely certain side effects may occur while using Mentax: burning; inflammation; irritation; itching; redness; stinging. If they continue for a long time and are bothersome, check with your doctor.
Sever side effects include: rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue. In this case seek immediate medical attention.
