Before using
Take to attention that Astelin may interact with other medicines, that is why before using it inform your doctor about all other medications that you are taking or if you are allergic to any components of Astelin. Also tell him your medical history, especially if you have any kidney problems.
Do not drive or operate machinery until you know exactly how your organism reacts to Astelin. Limit alcoholic drinks because it may increase the possibility of side effects.

Do not give Astelin to children younger than 5 years of age. If a young child accidentally eats Astelin, call a doctor or a poison control center immediately.
Directions
Read the special guide that comes with the package of Astelin and follow its instructions. Do not change the dosage or schedule of taking this medication without talking to your pharmacist first.
Do not drink Astelin and avoid spraying it in your eyes. Use it in your nose as directed.
Usually the effect appears 3 hours after taking the medicine.
You should take Astelin regularly but do not take a double dose of the medication even if you missed the previous dose.
Store Astelin at room temperature away from heat, moisture and light, out of reach of children.
Possible side effects of Astelin
If any of the following side effects do not pass away for a long time or are bothersome, check with your doctor:
• Bitter taste; brief burning or stinging sensation; cough; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth; headache; mild nosebleed; nasal burning; nausea; sore throat; sudden sneezing attack.
Seek immediate medical attention if any these severe side effects occur while using Astelin:
• Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); repeated or persistent nosebleeds; severe nasal irritation.
